Trucker Path has integrated Verisk CargoNet's cargo theft intelligence capabilities into its navigation platform, equipping drivers with real-time loss prevention tools during route planning. The addition comes as cargo theft incidents continue escalating nationwide, with CargoNet reporting more than 1,120 theft incidents and approximately $121 million in estimated losses during the first five months of 2026, according to FreightWaves.
The new feature supplies drivers with county-level theft risk ratings, historical theft trends, and commodity-specific data as they map their routes. By surfacing this intelligence directly within the navigation interface, Trucker Path aims to enable drivers and fleet operators to make informed decisions that reduce exposure to high-risk corridors and reduce the likelihood of cargo loss.
The integration underscores growing industry recognition that technology solutions play a critical role in mitigating supply chain vulnerabilities. As theft incidents continue mounting, carriers are increasingly seeking data-driven approaches to route optimization that balance efficiency with security considerations.
