Pakistan's national Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC), the country's largest exploration and production enterprise, has entered into an agreement with Canadian technology provider Synergetic Oil Tools Inc to enhance output from its heavy crude reserves. According to the partnership, OGDC will implement advanced Passive Energy Tool technology designed to optimize production and overcome the technical challenges posed by highly viscous crude oil extraction.
The partnership represents a strategic effort to maximize production efficiency from Pakistan's heavy crude assets, which have historically presented operational complexities due to the oil's high viscosity.
